9 Easy Steps To Learn How To Draw

9 Easy Steps To Learn How To DrawThere are many times when we say that I can’t draw. But are you really interested in learning how to draw and would you be interested in learning it? Are questions you should ask yourself? If you have answered 'Yes' to both these questions, then it is for sure that you can learn drawing without much difficulty. You have the spirit and the confidence to learn drawing.

Learning to draw is not a very costly affair. You do not need to buy expensive set of equipment and tools for learning drawing. You only need to purchase clean paper, a pencil or a pen. You could also use either white paper or any light colored paper for drawing. Making the best use of whatever is available without spending much is the ideal way. Some effective drawing tools are ink pens, chalks, paints, crayons, pencils etc.

Pencils are available in a wide variety like charcoal, colored pencils, graphite pencils and water soluble pencils. Inks in different varieties like acrylic inks and writing inks are also available. When beginning to learn drawing, do not buy very costly drawing equipment. Start simple by buying only simple tools like a pencil, brush, and a pen. Start drawing simple figures and not start drawing portraits in the beginning itself. Try avoiding technical subjects like cars, trains and planes.

Making use of simple drawing tools like a simple graphite pencil, ink pen, or a ball pen. Start by drawing anything you wish to. Keep practising again and again on any scrap paper.

Start drawing simple things. Start by practising dots, curves, arcs and circles. Start drawing dashes and lines in a neat manner. Try shading with these dashes. Start drawing freehand outlines with circles, curves and lines. Drawing would automatically come to you. Start scratching, scribbling and sweeping your pencil on the page.

Some tips which would be helpful are as follows:

1.Make sure you draw from real life and not restrict drawing only from photographs

2.While beginning to draw, less is always the key to being successful. Do not go into very minute details, especially when you are a beginning.

3.The entire process of drawing need not necessarily be completed in one sitting. First make the layout which gives the general idea of the drawing and then go about adding more details.

4.Do not judge the drawing even before it is completed. You could easily get discouraged and there are chances that you might give up, even before completing the drawing.

5.Start with simple topics, so that that you are able to complete it and do justice to it. Picking up complicated topics would force you to leave the drawing midway and you would soon lose interest.

6.People make the mistake of drawing what they already know. You need to draw on what you see and not on what you already know about the particular subject.

7.A properly lit room with enough light is important if you have to draw well. The room should have proper ventilation and natural sunlight so that you are able to do justice to your drawing.

8.Get some simple paper which is good for practicing and you can do those preliminary sketches. Keeping properly sharpened pencils are important so that you are able to draw and sketch well.

9.Keeping a sketchbook wherever you go helps you in practicing and you can draw and practice whenever you have the time.
